Once upon a time, Subaru had an SUV called the “Bighorn.” Not to be confused with the Ram 1500 SLT regional package (called Lonestar in southern states). This vehicle was the opposite of Subaru. Subaru was making AWD sedans, wagons, and even a sports car. They even made a micro pickup (ute?) called the B.R.A.T. But this was basically a vehicle designed for the North American market but available only in Japan. Does anyone know any more info on this unicorn?

It’s a badge-engineered Isuzu.

Looks exactly like a re-badged 2nd-gen Isuzu Trooper
This thing was re-badged as no less than 10 other vehicles.

“Also called:
Acura SLX, Chevrolet Trooper, Isuzu Bighorn, Holden Jackaroo, Holden Monterey, Honda Horizon, Opel Monterey, Subaru Bighorn, Vauxhall Monterey”
Basically the Isuzu Trooper was one of the most whored out vehicles.
